Burton Fisher, Jr.
White Buffalo Stands was the name given to him by his great grandfather, Old Bull. His English name is Burton Fisher, Jr. and he is enrolled with the Northern Cheyenne Tribe from Lame Deer, Montana. In his village he was raised by his grandparents, who taught him the importance of being in touch with nature and spirit and leading a spiritual, prayerful life. This led Burton to explore and follow the different prayer circles of Ceremonies that take four days and nights to “give of yourself so you may learn and be given wisdom through the Sudda Fasting, Sundance and Piercing Ceremonies.” He also sings for the people who go through those Ceremonies.

Burton is a sixth generation singer, drum keeper and a Hereditary Chief for his Tribe so songs are very much a part of his life. He has prayed and sang in Sweat Lodges all his life and is an instructor in this format or way of thinking. He relocated to the Mount Shasta area in 2008 and has been getting to know many of the local Natives who share his love of Ceremony.

“I have tried to the best of my ability to lead a spiritual life, a humble life, and would like to share some of my life experiences with you.”.

Burton offers:
• Morning Star Tours
• Various Ceremonies, upon request
Private Sweat Lodge Ceremonies

Morning Star Tours: Burton shares authentic Native American Ceremonies with you on sacred Mount Shasta, drumming, singing and praying in his native language. He will explain the true meaning and stories of the different spirits of the mountain and how it relates to the Northern Cheyenne point of view. He uses sweet grass and eagle feathers for smudging. Various Ceremonies will be conducted, as requested by you or the group. There will be time alone for processing and a talking circle to answer questions about your spiritual growth.

Personal Intensive Ceremonies: Same as above, only with more emphasis on one on one personal healing and spiritual growth.

NEW!! Sweat Lodges led by Burton in his native Northern Cheyenne tradition are available at the Children of Light Healing Center, 7639 Ponderosa Dr., Weed, CA. Please call 530-926-4326 or 541-899-6828 for times, location and protocol information.

The next lodges will be held:

Saturday, May 2 & May 16
from 2 - 5pm
Usually on the first and third Saturday of every month.
Other times by appointment.

Requested love donation, please and thank you.

“It is my pleasure to pour, conduct and share the meaning behind the structure of the lodge with you. The ways of my grandfathers and the value of their teachings as this lineage of spirituality have been passed down through the centuries. The protocol and etiquette in place is still the same as it was in the beginning; the number of willows used, the colored cloth ties and the significance of them remains unchanged. The songs sung now during prayer were used centuries ago and transform you into a more humble, prayerful spirit. This ceremony renews your faith in creator, cleanses your body, and purifies your mind so you can become one with yourself. This enhances our spiritual awareness and prepares us to be open to receive blessings, protection and healing."
