Burton is a sixth generation singer, drum keeper and a Hereditary Chief for his Tribe so songs are very much a part of his life. He has prayed and sang in Sweat Lodges all his life and is an instructor in this format or way of thinking. He relocated to the Mount Shasta area in 2008 and has been getting to know many of the local Natives who share his love of Ceremony.
“I have tried to the best of my ability to lead a spiritual life, a humble life, and would like to share some of my life experiences with you.”.

“It is my pleasure to pour, conduct and share the meaning behind the structure of the lodge with you. The ways of my grandfathers and the value of their teachings as this lineage of spirituality have been passed down through the centuries. The protocol and etiquette in place is still the same as it was in the beginning; the number of willows used, the colored cloth ties and the significance of them remains unchanged. The songs sung now during prayer were used centuries ago and transform you into a more humble, prayerful spirit. This ceremony renews your faith in creator, cleanses your body, and purifies your mind so you can become one with yourself. This enhances our spiritual awareness and prepares us to be open to receive blessings, protection and healing."
